Font Gander Pro is now available in two virtually identical 'editions', only slightly customized for two different marketing channels. In this document, we will assume that you are interested in registering the edition you now have in your posession, the so-called "Upgradeable Demo" (UD) edition. Information about the other edition is available in Gander's online user's reference (called the "Handy Reference" under the Windows menu).
This Upgradeable Demo of Font Gander Pro is fully functional except in that it will place an "UNREGISTERED" watermark on each page you print until you make a $30 one-time payment to register the program. Upon receipt of payment, Semplice Software will, in return, contact you and provide a unique unlocking code with instructions on how to 'unlock' the program so that it prints normally. In effect, the code will enable you to upgrade to the so-called commercial edition, without requiring you to download or obtain any additional software. Moreover, you will be able to re-use your code to unlock and upgrade all future versions of the Font Gander Pro 1.x/UD as they become publically available.
This Upgradeable Demo is distributed with a small utility (the enclosed "Register" application), to facilitate easy payment via the Kagi Shareware payment system. Kagi accepts numerous forms of payment, including credit card, many national currancies, and checks drawn on U.S. banks. Credit card purchases can be made via email for fastest response (1 to 6 days), or via fax for more security with moderate speed (4 to 10 days). Postal orders are processed similar to faxes, but postal delays will of course extend the turn-around time. In any case, the Register utility is the best way to submit your order, much like filling out any machine-readable form. It automatically scrambles your credit card number, places your information in a standard format, and the resulting data can then be copied to the clipboard for pasting into email, or printed on paper for fax or post, and/or saved to disk for future reference. It's pretty self-explanatory if you simply launch Register and take a moment to read the buttons and the field labels.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into Register and select "Invoice" as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people. You may want to highlight the line that reminds them to include a copy of the form with their payment. Kagi cannot invoice your company. If you need an invoice, you must act on our behalf and generate the invoice and handle all the paperwork on your end.
